WEDDINGS
You will see below examples of the type of photos I can take for you. This is just a tiny selection. I have albums of whole weddings, should you wish to view those. If you left click on "client gallery area", you will see many client albums. They are all password protected, so let me know which you want to view, and I can give you the password, so you can see a wedding from start to finish!
Most of the day, I will take reportage shots, catching special moments.
If you require any formal shots - please refer to the menu to the left on this page and left click on "examples lists for shots you want taken at your wedding" I would urge you, to keep these to a minimum, as your guests don't want to stand too long for photographs, they want to get on with enjoying the day (and getting to the bar). Whilst formal shots still have their place as a historical record of your special day, it is the reportage shots that really bring your album to life. I always "do" the big formal group shot (if any) first, so that the bulk of your guests are not keep waiting. Also, any infirm or disabled guests are also photographed swiftly, or even at the reception, seated, so as not to bring attention to their disability.
Please left click on "example lists for the information I require about your wedding" in the menu on the left of this page. It is important that I know the names of the main bridal party, as it works so much better if I, my assistant, or the best man shout for "Joan Jones" rather than "mother of the bride, please", since most people will respond to their name, and not the title they are given on the day.
This may seem like a chore, but it is so easy on the day for somebody to get missed. and there is only one chance to capture these people on the day.
The rest of the day, I will, as unobtrusively as possible, be poised ready, for any photo opportunities to arise. This is where the personality of your guests, and the emotion and essence of the day, come into play.
If you look back on your wedding photos and recall a moment, an emotion and they make you smile, laugh or cry, I have done my job.
Weddings are a hotpot of emotion, and if, say, I am photographing the Bride getting ready and she needs a few minutes to herself, I will withdraw, quietly, without fuss, for her to recompose. Similarly, I am on duty for the duration, so if the Bride and Groom suddenly think of something that hadn't occurred to them before, they can feel free to request it.
Once I have captured all the images for your big day, I will crop and edit them, and by the time you return from your honeymoon (or two weeks) they will be available for you to view on your very own password protected web album on this website (the site address, album name, and password will have previously been given to you).
You can give the album name and password to your guests for them to view too, or I will have left business cards with my details on the tables at your wedding (with your permission, of course).
My philosophy is that we should both be equally proud of your wedding photographs.
I will work to the very best of my ability to achieve just that.
All the photos here were all taken at "real" weddings as it happened.
